Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Unit Manager with 6years+ graduate MRI/CT experience to join the Diagnostics team. You will need to be confident with excellent communication skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to a Regional Manager, you will Manage the Radiology unit. You will have direct access to the referring consultants for discussion and clinically justifying referrals. Being able to react and adapt to the
demands of the service is essential. To be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate a high level of competency, exemplary patient care and a warm approachable manner. You will also need a degree of
flexibility and the ability to work without supervision under pressure.
Person Specification
Ensure the Unit is adequately staffed at all times.
Maintain awareness of Unit financial targets, optimising financial efficiency.
Responsible for all aspects of patient and staff safety.
Work with BDM to build and increase Unit business.
Develop a close working relationship with the host hospital.
Minimum Qualification Required –
Applicant must have Bachelors Bachelor of Science (Radiography) or equivalent
Registration with CORU as a Radiographer in Ireland is essential.
Experienced in MRI & CT.
Evidence of good leadership and management experience.
Excellent communication skills, able to manage clinical and non clinical staff and experienced with working at a senior level.
Postgraduate qualifications in MRI, CT or Management will be advantageous but not essential.
