Job Description:
Mandatory:
● Java
● SQL
● Shell Scripting
● Unix commands (file handling specifically). General awareness with the Unix environment.
Good to have
● Autosys
● ELK / Kibana
● Mongo DB
● DevOps
● Monitoring and health checks

Please note that an ideal candidate would be hands on in Java with some knowledge about scripting and DevOps (not necessary that all the exact tools are to be known). Knowledge on the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) is required as well.
Unix Scripting, Java coding, SQL, Production support, App health monitoring tool knowledge, should have worked/supported Java applications
Expecting folks who have systematic thinking about what matters from SDLC prospective pre and post deployments.
Ability to write automated checks to ensure that the application health is good post deployment, check logs are writing correct, dependent systems are working fine, alerts are set up right, monitoring metrics are showing up right, db schema is updated correctly, data is getting updated and flowing to right systems correctly etc.
Ability to write scripts to change some os settings or software settings etc during deployment and be able to create standard templates and scripts for the larger team.
Understanding of zero downtime deployment rolling upgrade of new software and patches and to ensure blue green deployment is done correct,
Familiarity with the application and system level metrics like memory, cpu, disk space and ability to triangulate at the issue eg grafana dashboard or metrics systems. Ensure log rotation and purge scripts are automated and working as expected.
Knowledge about Docker, Kubernetes and AWS infra is not mandatory but good to have.
