Job Description for Quality Analyst(Tester)
Software Testers are responsible for the testing and quality assurance of the range of software products. Their extensive product knowledge makes them a point of reference for other team members.
Role:
To test modifications to the company's products to ensure they are fit for purpose, consistent, and compliant with delivery standards and guidelines.
You will ensure modifications are fully regression testable and delivered on schedule.
Translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test plans, test scenarios and Steps in tools like Jira and writing steps in cucumber.
Rigorously planning, writing and executing test scripts.
Perform manual as well as automation regression testing.
Creation and maintenance of test data, tools, and scripts.
Execute test plans manually and conduct automatic and manual functional and exploratory testing.
To understand the industry requirements of the customer base and develop a thorough understanding of how those requirements are met by the Company's product range.
To complete testing in line with agreed timeframes and by following the documented business processes using the appropriate test management and automation tools.
Identifying issues, risks, and dependencies escalating and managing where appropriate
To provide product handovers to both technical and non‐technical audiences.
Continually update skills by learning new technologies relevant to the role.
Evaluate testing tools.
Strong knowledge of SQL database is required(Must Have)
Strong problem-solving skill, troubleshooting skill, strong root cause identification skill(Must have)
Strong knowledge of API testing and integration testing(Must Have)
Nice to have:
Proven experience in a truly agile delivery environment (Scrum, XP, TDD, BDD).
Coding/scripting skills
Experience with test automation frameworks with knowledge of Java
Knowledge of cucumber, selenium, and Jmeter, etc. Or any other automation tools
