·Based on the net sales and the new product development plan, the Asst. Manager Purchase needs to first make a planning sheet. He needs to start his work by working on the Bill of Material / Purchase Indent provided.
·Should know how to calculate material cost based on the weights of the steel and based on the drawing provided.
·Good negotiation skill and communication skill. Should be able to communicate well with vendors and get material on time with the best competitive cost.
·Should be able to make purchase order in SAP (training will be provided)and mail it to vendor after taking proper approval from the department head
·Look for new vendors, increase work with existing vendors
·Should follow rules laid down by the company on product development and vendor development
·Reduce material cost, reduce material follow up cost
