Provide leadership to and supervise Production Supervisors in a two shift manufacturing operation; enforce and enhance policies and procedures to meet and exceed goals.
Provide guidance, motivation, and encouragement to employees regarding their questions or concerns
Manage the workforce to keep pace with changing demand and business cycles; ensure machines are running at optimal rates and that production schedule and priority lists are followed.
Recommend, enhance, and create safety, quality, manufacturing, maintenance, set up, and process improvement procedures; verify that intended results are being achieved through audits and monitoring of implementation, training, and operational use
Create and maintain training documents to provide continuous training and develop succession plans for all departments and shifts; improve manufacturing efficiency through employee development and equipment; utilize improvements to fuel growth
Develop, report, and utilize key performance metrics to maintain accountability and to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
Work with other departments to meet their goals and the goals of the company
Maintain current certifications and compliance with regulations
Understand cost of goods produced and ways to improve quality and profitability; manage costs of goods and labor to set standards of production
Ensure customer/vendor/supplier-related corrective actions are effectively and accurately carried out in a timely manner
Conduct daily/Weekly production meetings with shift supervisors and production teams
Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
Work a full-time schedule, work extended hours and/or weekends as business demands
Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, clean and maintain equipment
Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualified Candidates will
Have a Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience,
Have at least 5 years of experience supervising in a manufacturing environment in plastic induction molding company 's
Must have previous experience in manufacturing plastic products utilizing thermoforming or injection molding technologies
Have a good knowledge of the demands of setup, tooling, processing, and troubleshooting in a plastic manufacturing environment.
Host a strong safety background and quality focus
Have effective problem solving, decision making, employee management, and leadership skills
