A modern, world-accredited hospital is currently seeking a Radiographer to join their team of healthcare professionals. With a qualification in radiography and experience and/or a postgraduate qualification in MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), you will be seeking an opportunity to work as part of a friendly and dynamic team in Ireland.

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MRI - Radiographer with at least 4 years MRI experience to join the diagnostic team. You will need to be confident with excellent communication skills. You will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of Radiographers and undertake a varied workload covering consultant clinics, ward and theatre patients in an autonomous way. All team members take on
responsibility for an area of department management for example Audit, Radiation Protection, Policy Development, and Administration. You will be a valued member of the team who truly has the opportunity to make a difference. This role would particularly suit a Radiographer who is interested in a progressive role with increased responsibility and an opportunity to really refine your skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Diagnostic Unit Manager, you will be providing x-ray examinations to include: Ortho,

Urology, Gynae, Dental Clinics and theatre. You will have direct access to the referring consultants for discussion and clinically justifying referrals. Being able to react and adapt to the demands of the service is essential. To be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate a high level of competency, exemplary patient care, and a warm approachable manner. You will also need a degree of flexibility and the ability to work without supervision under pressure.

Minimum Qualification Required –

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following;

• Maintain a high standard of professional practice being competent to provide a broad range of radiographic techniques for examinations which are included within the scope of practice of the role.

• Skills associated with review and assessment of diagnostic images, highlighting any abnormalities that may be present.

• Show an understanding of Clinical Governance and the importance of all aspects which contribute to a safe and high-quality diagnostic service.

• Strong Communication skills is required

• A broad range of competencies matched to the job description.

Qualifications:

 BSc (Hons) degree in Radiography in MRI.

 CORU Registered.

 Member of Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy (IIRRT) will be an added advantage.
