Design mechanical system and subsystems parts of medical product with CAD tools according to design rules and standards 2D manufacturing drawing Use of design change process to ensure the proposed changes are systematically and thoroughly analyzed before beginning the change process Whenever product changes are proposed justification is written or data is collected to verify that the design intent is still met Performs troubleshooting on products process problems as related to design material or process Design mechanical parts with consideration of DFM DFA and close communication with industrialization team Participate in DFMEA and risk management with Quality Works cross functionally with project management quality manufacturing regulatory clinical and marketing to ensure project success Work collaboratively with manufacturing to reduce product costs through design improvements Support mechanical design verification tests e g shock and vibration water ingress ion in IP standard push pull test etc according to product specification and IEC standards Evaluate and document design analysis results from simulation calculation verification tests and do design improvements Documentation for design and development files Timely report to mechanical lead on project deliverable and propose solutions to issue faced Bachelors or higher degree in engineering with preference mechanical engineering 4 to 6 years of Experience in Product design and development in Medical Devices Experience in product Sustaining Engineering is preferred Experience in Sheet Metal Plastic Casting Component Design Should be able to perform Basic Theoretical Design Calculations Thorough Understanding of GDandT Tolerance Analysis Expertise In 3D Modeling Assembly and 2D Drawings Knowledge of manufacturing processes tooling construction their resulting manufacturing defects Experience in Vendor management activities Experience Knowledge of Product testing and Standards Preferable Knowledge of Engineering tools DFMA DFMEA DOE Fundamental understanding of the Quality System per ISO 13485 or 21 CFR 820 Ability of Working Individual or In a TeamCross Functional Teams
