Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Managing active directory, MS Azure and Office 365
- Diagnose and troubleshoot daily network security issues.
- Assemble and configure firewalls, switches, routers, and related equipment.
- Design, evaluate, and promote new network security standards by developing operating procedures and streamlining related operations.
- Adhere to Change Control, Change Log, and Downtime Log procedures for all critical services.
- Monitor network and systems health, responding appropriately to network alerts and events.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in network security matters to projects inside and outside the department.
- Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity
- Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
- Provide technical direction to IT support staff
- Ensure constant availability of technical resources
- Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety
- Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong active directory, MS Azure and Office 365 experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field required
- 4+ years’ of experience in system engineering and IT support required
- Proven track record of success in installation and maintenance
- Experience creating automated scripts and software preferred
- Exceptional networking skills and knowledge
