Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Software Architecture, Design, and Development (75%)

Engage with customers, product managers, and engineering leads to refine feature requirements.
Design, implement, test, document, and deploy quality code, using agile processes.
Be a champion of a dynamic, quality-centric culture, in which rapid iteration and continuous improvement are basic values; foster a collaborative, customer-focused, engineering environment.
Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends and technologies in front-end development. Embrace new technologies, as appropriate, to continuously improve products.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Navya’s front-end technology stack.

Coaching and Mentoring (25%)

As a senior software engineer, set an example of best practices for other team members.
Demonstrate how the principles of collaboration, ownership, and accountability lead to high quality results.
Successfully motivate and inspire team to improve and achieve outstanding results.
Assist senior management in coaching and development of junior team members; help identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

3 to 5 years working on multiple “full stack” software applications, specializing in front-end development.
Expertise in one or more modern JavaScript libraries/frameworks (e.g., ReactJS, AngularJS, etc.).
Knowledge of current Javascript technologies (e.g., JQuery, JSON, Express.js, Node.js, etc.).
Experience with front-end test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, etc.).
Understanding of complete SDLC; experience with agile methodologies.
Working knowledge of at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Scala, C#, C++, etc.).
Working knowledge of at least one SQL database (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Computer Science or Engineering degree from an excellent university program.
