Job Description:

The Finance Head is responsible for overseeing the fund mobilization and  management of the funds.

Qualifications and Requirements

A Master degree and a few  years’ experience in the financial field will be required to gain a Finance Head role. A Master degree in the following fields will prove particularly advantageous:

·         Accountancy or Finance

·         Business Studies

·         Management

Postgraduate degree in financial management will be suitable for the post

Basic qualities required :

Apart from formal qualifications, a Finance Head’s job description should detail the following qualities:

·         An analytical mind

·         Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships

·         Commercial and business awareness

·         Good communication skills in English– both written and verbal

·         A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data

·         Ability to stick to time constraints

Basic Functions/ Key Responsible Areas: 

As a crucial member of the finance team, a typical Finance Head job description should include, but not be limited to

• Proper understanding of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts of the Company
• Developing good knowledge of different products of the Company.
• Developing long-term business plans based on these reports (Projections, CMA etc)
• Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information (MIS)

·           Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.

• Compliance of different reports to be submitted to RBI and other lenders (QIS,DP,NBS etc)
• Preparation of different reports for Rating Agency (Monthly as well as during Rating Exercise)
• Submission of Monthly reports to Credit Information Companies (CIC)
• Management of day to Funds with Banks and NBFCs

·           Predicting future financial trends (Interest rate movements etc)

·           Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the company and future business decisions might be impacted

·           Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets (Gap analysis)

·           Developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk

·           Analysing market trends and competitors
