Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: other developers, architects, data product owners and
source systems. This position support data product owners by providing data transformation rules
implemented in the code, identifying dependencies among processes that provide data to data products,
review quality controls across all data products.
• Ability to navigate and understand code developed in an traditional data warehouse environments as well as
a data lake.
• Assist data product owners in capturing transformations implemented in code.
• Assist data product owners in reviewing control checks implemented around processes designed to
load data that supports a data product.
• Ability to read and understand undocumented code developed in Linux, Informatica, Java and any other
programming languages.
• Ability to understand undocumented job schedules, SQL queries/scripts, java code and any other
programming language or code designed to handle and perform data transformation and load into
a data base or a data lake.
• Willingness to learn new programming languages with the focus of understanding the code and be able to
document the rules implemented in code.
• Work with other development and operations teams.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:-
• Full life-cycle experience on enterprise software development projects.
• Experience in Unix/Linux system, files systems, shell scripting.
• Experience in databases/ data marts/data warehouses and complex SQL.
• Experience with databases including Vertica, Teradata, and Oracle.
• Understanding of Java.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills used to resolve technical problems.
• Must possess a good understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.
• Ability to work independently, but must a team player .
Required / Desired Skills:
• Data Warehousing (Required 1 Year)
• SQL (Required 1 Year)
• Unix/Linux shell scripting (Required 1 Year)
• Java (Required 1 Year)
• Knowledge on Hadoop Ecosystem.
• SPSS Modeler (Preferred/ Mandatory 1 Year) .
