Role Description
The US Policy group at Pfizer is a diverse team of economists and policy experts that
advises senior leadership on matters relating to healthcare, fiscal, and related policy and
its impact on the pharmaceutical business. The team also initiates and manages
pharmaceutical policy research projects with external consulting firms and leading
academic centers. Policy Analytics provides high quality analysis-driven policy support
to Pfizer Business Units, Government Relations functions, and the Research and
Development organization. This analysis enables the use of public policy to create the
optimal business landscape for Pfizer.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Analyze pharmaceutical spending, utilization, outcomes, and related data to develop
and support business relevant policy objectives.
• Collaborate with economists and other outside analyst to identify, develop and
disseminate research that supports commercial goals.
• Rapid analysis and communication of studies related to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Design original quantitative studies to identify future trends, opportunities and threats
related to public policy and Pfizer's business
• Identify new analytic techniques and data sources to inform policy strategies
• Provide written and oral guidance to senior leadership on pharmaceutical policy grounded in economy theory
