ARCHITECTURAL COORDINATOR.
DRAWING AND DESIGN CO-ORDINATION
Prepare and maintain master drawings register for all incoming and outgoing drawings, including structural and M&E drawings.
The register shall be updated every week.
Prepare shop drawing submission schedule with targets dates in the relation to the project master programme.
Check and co-ordinate the shop drawings produced by L&W drafting team as well as sub-cons.
To ensure critical dimensions are highlighted and details are workable and co-ordinated with other trades.
To vet through key structural / M&E drawings before submission to consultants (eg. Column setting out plan / structural forming plan / M&E layout plan)
To update and incorporate all amendments of CVI/RFI into the construction drawings.
To ensure that the latest and correct drawings are used all site staff.
To propose the most suitable/appropriate material/detail for use.
CONSTRUCTION CO-ORDINATION
Attend technical co-ordination with consultants. To monitor approval of shop drawings from Consultants.
Liaise with sub-cons on technical issue/timely approval of shop drawings.
Monitor progress of site work in relation to the shop drawing schedule.
To make regular site checks to ensure that works on site is executed in accordance to the approved drawings.
Prepare method statements, resolve site problems on detailing.
Conduct and chair Internal / Drawing Co-ordination meetings.
Co-ordinate for preparation of as-built drawings.
Monitor issuance of construction drawing to site staff.
To obtain relevant documents / waivers from consultant with regards to authorities requirements.
To co-ordinate with owners direct contractor (Interior Decorators) if any.
PROCUREMENT
To liaise closely with L&W’s contract dept. to ensure timely ordering of materials and appointment of sub –cons.
Compile material sample/catalogues for submission to consultants in relation to the procurement schedule.
Take charge of sample room. Ensure that all approved samples are properly labelled.
To ensure that detail/material proposed are within the contract provision/specification.
