Agriculture Expert will be responsible for coordinating our Agriculture based vertical under Sewa Uttarakhand project.
Liaison with team members & community people and take a lead to ensure smooth operations. This is a high career growth potential opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and Duties
Overall management & responsible for Agriculture based activities -
· Collection and analysis of comprehensive data related to agriculture land, water resources for crops, yield etc.
· Design & develop hills suited technical interventions relating to farm sector.
· Provide necessary training to field level staffs & community on pre & post harvesting management, Aggregation management, Value chain planning & management, business planning, exposure visits etc.
· Preparation of crop plan, business plan & agribusiness plan for the sustainability of SHGs & producer’s company.
· Provide regular guidance to field supervisor & Demo farm centre In-charge.
· Preparation of monthly budget for Agriculture Demo centers & Agriculture need based interventions.
· Interventions of high value crops for the income generation of Self Help Groups(SHGs).
· Ensure community participation in identification & selection of activities/crops & need based interventions.
· Ensure trainings & implementation related to product development (Sorting, Grading, Packaging, Processing, development of Market linkages etc.) in the coordination with Agribusiness Expert & team.
· Preparation of Monthly/Seasonally/Quarterly/Half Yearly/Annual reports.
· Organize capacity building/training program for team as per requirement.
· To promote soil to market approach in organic cultivation.
· Liaise & Coordination with Sewa Srujan, Krishi Demo Centers & line departments.
· Contribution to knowledge management, case studies, success stories & reports.
· Performance Appraisal & Assessment of the team.
· Extensive field visit & monitoring of the activities.
· Any other task(s) identified from time to time as per reporting manager.
