Develops knowledge of assigned college in order to assist students with unique needs and processes associated with their home college and/or major; and brings together academic and campus resources necessary for academic success.
Advises enrolled and prospective students regarding academic programs and curricula
Assists assigned college faculty and staff and participates in activities designed to enhance academic and career success such as career fairs, seminars, special events, etc.
Assists students and provides support to resolve academic and social issues impeding academic success.
Establishes communication channels with faculty, chairs and makes referrals to other support services to resolve issues such as absenteeism, academic deficiencies, and social and emotional problems that may hinder academic success.
Conducts and/or assists in delivering student success seminars on a variety of rotating topics, as scheduled each semester.
May assist in conducting orientation sessions for groups of incoming new students.
Performs other job related duties as required.
